On the morning of May 28, 2025, the Zhongba Gospel Church held an inauguration ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new church building after the catastrophic Wenchuan Earthquake. Approximately 1,200 people, including pastoral staff, fellow workers, and members from the churches across Sichuan, gathered to witness this significant moment. Severely damaged by the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008, the original Zhongba Gospel Church has now been replaced by a new structure on the same site, which covered a total area of 4.5 mu, with a construction area of 7,778 square meters.

During the thanksgiving service of the new church inauguration, Rev. Zhang Jian, vice chairperson, vice president, and general secretary of Sichuan CC&TSPM, led the consecration prayers. It was followed by a sermon titled “The Glorious Temple” given by Rev. Luo Yingfu, director of Guizhou TSPM. Churches from Deyang, Mianyang, and Jiangyou performed hymns such as “The Holy City”, “Dedicatory Song”, and “Consecration For The Church Building”. Rev. Luo presented gifts, expressing congratulations and good wishes for the inauguration of the new church.

Congratulatory letters and messages were received from CCC&TSPM and Henan CC&TSPM, the latter providing support and assistance to the churches in Jiangyou City. They extended gratitude and blessings for the completion of the church reconstruction that spanned 17 years since the earthquake.
